Ivan Orkin has yet to open his NY location of Ivan Ramen, but that hasn’t kept him from being a blockbuster on the summer food scene. Food Republic interviews Orkin about what is happening with New York’s ramen craze, and how he can hope to be a game changer by bringing more Japanese flavors into the picture.
Following the ramen craze, the next big thing to hit restaurants looks to be yakitori. The Chuko owner’s will be opening their second spot, Bar Chuko, located down the street from their first venture, to follow the trend.
