HL Clients,

MAYOR DE BLASIO CALLS IT — TAKE OUT AND DELIVERY ONLY!
Mayor de Blasio will be signing an executive order today, Monday, March 16, 2020, requiring all New York City restaurants and nightlife establishments to suspend their normal operations as of tomorrow.

Effective Tuesday at 9:00am, restaurants and bars will be limited to providing only food take-out and delivery services; establishments that do not serve food will be forced to suspend their operations completely.

We know that the decision to close is one that has weighed heavily on many of you over the past few days – and that many of had already voluntarily decided to take this difficult step – but please know that we remain committed to helping you navigate what comes next.

If you have not already done so, please reach out to Megan Shaw at [email protected] to discuss how to notify your staff of an impending closure and the steps you should take thereafter to ensure full compliance under the law.

If you have already reached out to Megan, you will soon be receiving an email that directly addresses the more immediate communication that should be sent to your staff in light of the Mayor’s mandate.
Hang in there.
